-With $4-$5 gas approaching, we don’t drill the gulf, but encourage others to do so, we don’t approve pipelines from friendly neighbors that would also add jobs, don’t take advantage of the fracking projects in the mid-west, that also add jobs.

-We don’t enforce the borders.

-Create a task force on debt reduction, then follow none of their recommendations.

-Don’t have a budget for 1000+ days, and don’t even pretend to care.

-Create “Obamacare” that INCREASES costs, and then give waivers to unions and other donor/pet companies.

-Attacks the Catholic church and demands they abandon their values.

It’s just amazing to me that President Obama sides with the slacker/commie overthrow the government crowd, and the media seems fine with it. I mean, I know the major media groups are mostly Libs, but Jesus, don’t their journalist employee’s have some standards? Obama has consistently reduced the Presidential office to Senior Community organizer. I remember when everyone wanted to be Woodward and Bernstein. Now all journalists seem to want to be is left wing lap dogs. Before you come after me about the Republicans, they’re not a whole lot better. Where o’ where are the leaders of this great Country?

Everyone’s all cranked up about Herman Cain winning a straw poll in Florida. As a conservative, I think it is yet another signal from people that we don’t just want Democrats out, we want anyone out that won’t do the right thing. Rick Perry and Mitt Romney seem like “Democrat Light” to me. Will they do the necessary things like dramatically cutting spending, or overhauling Tax codes? I hope they do, but not sure they will. Herman Cain is a proven professional, someone who has made his own way. I’m not sure who I’ll vote for yet, but Cain hasn’t said anything I disagree with yet. People in this Great Country, are getting more and more fed up with the massive corruption by government officials, and the media reports, (or non reports, depending on who committed the crime). Time to LISTEN, politicians, if you’re looking to get, or stay, elected.

It’s particularly annoying to me, in the face of the current scandals in the White House, (Solandrya, Lightsquared), that millions and millions of tax dollars are going to corrupt politicians and companies. Yet whenever cutting government comes up, fireman, cops and feeding starving children is the first thing talked about. I wonder what percent could be cut without affecting us at all? I’ll bet it’s 20-30%. When will the person step up that just wants to make America right? And what will we do when the media tears them down, almost immeadiately? A good start, I think, would be the elimination of two departments, Education and Energy. We can’t do worse than we’ve done with them, can we?

But there already is a pathway to legal immigration. I have worked in SoCal and seen first hand the mostly excellent immigrant work ethic. My daughter in law is Chinese and followed this “pathway”. It just seems to me that this admin wants “open borders” not a pathway.

This is my first post, so forgive me if it looks like I don’t know what I’m doing, (I don’t). I’m looking to discuss politics with someone left of center, who’s response to any question is not, “well, Bush was worse!”. sigh. That’s all I get. I’m conservative mostly, but I don’t hate immigrants just because I want our border enforced. I don’t hate gay folks because I’m for marriage between and man and a woman. I think our government should spend less than we take in. I think the US government cannot run 1 program as efficiently as the private sector. When they do, I might consider a tax hike. might. I think we need a fair tax, consumption tax, or something else than what we have. Well, that’s a start.
